How to Install python-ftdi software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-ftdi software package provides Python module to control and program the FTDI USB controller, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-ftdi

python-ftdi is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-ftdi package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-ftdi *

You will get with python-ftdi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
